Members of The Party for Socialism and Liberation lead a rally in response to the arrests of local activists that began at The Colorado State Capital and led to a march in the streets of downtown Denver on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 in downtown Denver. Six protestors face felony charges — including kidnapping — for their involvement in protests in Aurora that prosecutors allege crossed over into criminal behavior. The six protesters arrested included Lillian Rose House, 25; Joel Prentice Northam, 32; Whitney Hanna Lucero, 23; Trey Anthony Quinn, 33; John Russel Ruch, 33; and Terrance Terrell Roberts, 44. They called the charges against the demonstrators “phony” and demanded charges be dropped, and instead, redirected the conversation back to arresting those involved in the death of Elijah McClain.
